Stena Drilling – “Stena Clyde” BOP Machining - 2014

Stena Drilling – “Stena Clyde” BOP Machining - 2014

The Blow Out Preventer (BOP) recently fitted to the Stena Clyde rig required 24mm machined from the bore of the BOP legs. Each leg is 6.5m long. Taylor Bros developed the bore process, designed and made the tooling and tested the tooling onshore to prove the design. The BOP machining was conducted by Taylor Bros while the rig was on an 8 day tow between drill sites.
